FAQs

Have some questions?

What is the Cracking noise?

The "cracking" or "popping" sound heard during a chiropractic adjustment is a result of gas bubbles being released from the joints. This is a common and harmless phenomenon, it is not the sound of your bones cracking.

Is chiropractic safe?

The simple answer is yes. As with any medical treatment, there are always potential risks, however the risk for serious harm from chiropractic is low. It's important to discuss any concerns with your chiropractor and to make sure they have a complete understanding of your medical history before beginning treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

Everybody heals differently, however, if you are well suited to Chiropractic care then you can expect to feel significantly better within 4-8 weeks. Some people feel better instantly and others take longer, it largely depends on how long you have had the problem and your lifestyle.

What if I am under 16?

You will need to attend with a legal guardian. This is to protect you and the Chiropractor.

What must I wear?

It's important to wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Avoid wearing restrictive clothing that may interfere with the chiropractor's ability to assess your posture and range of motion. Opt for loose-fitting clothes or sports wear that allow you to move freely and comfortably.

Does chiropractic hurt?

Chiropractic treatments don't hurt. However, as your body heals and changes it can be common to feel sore and stiff for up to 48 hours after a session, particularly at the start of your care. This is normal and is nothing to worry about. For relief we recommend using ice therapy on the sore area. Please contact us if you're concerned at all.

What should I expect after a treatment session?

Everybody is different and has different responses. We will start gently and explain everything that we will do before we perform it. Some people may feel looser or more flexible afterwards, some people feel nothing after the first one and others may feel stiffer in the areas we have worked on. Each response is normal. It’s important to remember if the problem has been there for a while it will take more than one treatment to respond.
